"I may have played my last match at Roland Garros": Novak Djokovic's emotional exit

Beaten in the semi-final by Jannik Sinner, the Serb says he may have played his last match in Paris. He doesn't know if he'll be back in a year.
By Eric Michel"It's not impossible that tonight I played my last match here at Roland Garros . That's why I was overcome with emotion at the end. I thank the crowd for giving me so much support. I've never experienced that here." A few minutes after his three-set defeat to Jannik Sinner in the semi-final, Novak Djokovic appeared calm and almost nostalgic at the press conference.
The reason? He may have said goodbye this Friday to the Roland-Garros center court, where he triumphed three times. "I always want to play, especially the Grand Slam tournaments. I want to come back here. If I say that this was perhaps my last match at Roland-Garros, it's because I don't know what state I'll be in a year to play. I'll see then."
The man with the greatest record in history will be 39 years old. "I'm going to play Wimbledon because it's been my favorite tournament ever since I was a child. It's perhaps the one where I still have the best chance of winning. After that, I'll think about the US Open. And then we'll see..."
